When we heard that Apple was going to launch a new iPad Mini we thought that they may just release a new iPad with it so the range is kept up to date, we were right. We have had our new iPad 4 for two days now and we love it. It is just the same as the old iPad but there are some great improvements to the device. The screen has stayed the same but the graphics chip has been upgraded and we can see that running the same game on both iPads (3,4). There is also a notable difference in speed, We have been using the new iPad for everything from game playing to game development and we have seen a great difference in speed. We are glad Apple updated the processor as we thought that the ipad 3′s processor was not up to the standard of the device,. The reason why we thought this was because we are power hungry when it comes to tech and we always want things to load and never take more than a few micro seconds, but with the previous iPad we had noticed some lag just 1 day in to using the device.
We love the new lighting connector but we do have some issues, We cannot use some of the docks that we have in the office with it because we do not have the adapter and they are the old 30 pin connector and the new iPad will not fit on them. Plus we do not want to go and buy a load of adapters at Apples’s price so we are waiting for China to develop an adapter that looks as good as the Apple one and then launch it and for it to be as good. This is the only down side we can find in the new iPad. Overall the new iPad is just the same as the older model but much quicker.
We do have the iPad Mini in the office right now and we are using it as much as we can but we are hoping to get the review to you by the end of the week.
