The Packaging includes:
The Meka G Unit keyboard
Manuals, etc
Detachable USB connectors
Detachable Palm Rest
Black bag for keyboard
Okay so the design of this keyboard is fantastic apart from some of
the key caps are blue but
as I said in my review that’s not a problem for me
The keyboard feels like a brick very solid and the matte material
makes it look sexy and amazing
this is fantastic as it’s not a finger print magnet The Keboard is
using Cherry MX Black mechanical switches which has a life expectancy
of up to 50 million keystrokes
and also provide a nice tactile feedback for typing
The Keyboard quite heavy, which makes it sit sturdy on a surface, the
USB cables are gold-plated and are detachable
so it’s easier to take the keyboard anywhere and there are also minor
cable management slots underneath the keyboard this helps with hiding
the
wire
Unfortunately not all keys are back-lit only the
W-A-S-D, Left-Ctrl, Left-Shift, and Space bar key
The Numeric keypad (only the Up, Right, Down, Left keys)
The Arrow keys
Also the colour of the back-lit only come’s in red (white in black model)
You can also tweak through the software whether you want all of these
3 sections to lit up or just one of them
On the back of the keyboard there’s two USB ports a microphone input,
headphone input, and a mini USB power input,
on the left side we have are T keys (I’m not sure if it’s trigger or
toggle lol) going from T1 all the way down to T12 you can set these
keys to what ever you want
At the top right we have are media buttons from Stop to rewind just
under that we have more media keys from the Back-lit LED brightness
control to the volume Up key YES these are keys
I have no idea why Thermaltake did this as I’m not going to take the
keyboard apart to find out
On the left we have are game mode button
and 3 profile buttons
On the back we have a plain look but we also have are cable management
hole and two feet
So here are the pros
+ Matte material
+ Look and feel like a true gaming keyboard
+ Mechanical (Cherry MX Black Switch)
+ Dedicated multimedia control key
+ Dedicated macro keys
+ Extra USB hubs and audio port
+ Plenty of macros available in 3 different profiles
+ Has a gaming mode to disable Windows key
+ Palm rest
+ The cable can be detached, easy to carry (cable pouch included)
+ Backlit (some keys)
The Bad?
- Some gaming keys are blue tinted
- Question mark key is in the wrong place
- Led light shines trough the Num Lock, Scroll Lock and Caps Lock key’s
- Only available in Cherry MX black (I like brown more)
