Ivybridge Macs: Reduced Prices, Leaked benchmarks and Availability Issues

Recently Intel released their Ivy Bridge processors that follow on from the Sandybridge processors. We have tried the new processors and they are great and we can’t wait to see Apple put them in their Macs. But Apple are a little slow in taking up these new processors. Before the Sandybridge processors were released Apple got their mits on them and they were the first manufacturer to use the processors. But with the Ivy Bridge processors they have been very slow, unlike the processors.

But some stores across the world such as best buy have already reduced prices of the Macbook Pros, Mac Pros and Mac Mini. This tells us that they are starting to clear their inventory so they are ready for the new models.

There also has been leaked benchmark tests from the actual machines themselves achieving a good score of  12252 on the Macbook pro. With these score being leaked this shows that there will phenomenal performance from the machines.

We also contacted one of our team and asked them to visit their local store in America and the store had no 15.4″, 17″ Macbook Pros, Mac Pros and only 1 Mac Mini Left. He then called a friends and they looked in their local store and there were limited stock of the Macbook Pros across all the specs. But they have loads of Mac Minis and Mac Pros.

We think that Apple may release a new Mac Pro, Mac Mini and Macbook Pros during this years WWDC. Also with the launch of Mountain Lion due this summer. We believe that Apple may release the above products along with Mountain Lion during WWDC. We will just have to wait and see.
